Welcomed at the airport, you are transferred to your hotel and have free afternoon.
+ Day 2 / Istanbul
Your day begins with a guided tour exploring the ancient city with highlights including the magnificent TOPKAPI PALACE (main residence of Ottoman Sultan). SAINT SOPHIA BASILICA, ancient seat of the Byzantine Church built in 537 AD and converted to a mosque in 1453. Finally the GRAND BAZAAR with 3,000 exotic indoor-shops. Optional dinner with belly dancing entertainment.
+ Day 3 / Gallioli, Troy, Canakkale
Drive along the Marmara Sea famous WWI sites, across the Dardanelle waterway to Asia and tour the legendary walls, buildings and famous wooden horse of Troy. Overnight in Çanakkale.
+ Day 4 / Pergamum, Izmir
Walk the acropolis of ancient Pergamum. Sights include the altar of Zeus and a famous Roman medical center. We continue south to İzmir for overnight, Homer’s birthplace on the Aegean Sea.
+ Day 4 / Ephesus, St. Mary House, Izmir
Tour glorious ruins of Ephesus, capital of Roman Asia Minor, to see the extensive ruins, which include 2,000-year-old marble streets, a huge theater, the library of Celsius, a gymnasium and the temple of Hadrian. In the afternoon, visit the nearby BASILICA OF ST. JOHN as well as the VIRGIN MARY’S STONE COTTAGE. Continue through fertile valleys to Pamukkale’s spectacular white lime cascade cliffs. Bathe in your hotel.
+ Day 6 / Hierapolis, Bursa
After touring the Hierapolis Roman health spa ruins, motor to Bursa, the first capital of Ottoman Empire at the foot of “MT. OLYMPUS” of ancient Asia Minor. You might like to spend the rest of your day shopping in Bursa’s colorful covered bazaar. Tonight you have an excellent opportunity to take “TURKISH BATH” at your hotel.
+ Day 7 / Bursa, Istanbul
In the morning, visit the lovely GREEN OTTOMAN COMPLEX and the GRAND MOSQUE. Then we across the Marmara Sea by ferry to İstanbul. Free time to explore the city.
+ Day 8 / Istanbul
Your representative escorts you to the airport for the flight back.
